Big News For Chicago Food Trucks:
We now know where to find Chicago's food trucks.
The Chicago City Council introduced an ordinance today calling for the creation of 23 designated parking stands for food trucks (mobile food vehicles, in ordinance-ese).
These will be designated food-truck parking stands, capable of handling at least two food trucks at once.
Food trucks would not be restricted to doing business in just these 23 locations, but these would be spaces, located in well-populated neighborhoods, where food trucks legally could park.
Which means you're always going to find a food truck or two (or three) at these spots.
Assuming the ordinance is approved at the next City Council meeting, the spaces will be located at the following addresses:
3627 N. Southport Ave.
3420 N. Lincoln Ave.
3241 N. Lincoln Ave.
